On 18 September 2026, representatives of QDELUX – Associação Quintal dos Empreendedores attended a conference dedicated to the history of Italian migration in Luxembourg, held at the Chambre des Salariés in Luxembourg-Bonnevoie.
The event included a screening of the film L’Arrivée de la Jeunesse, followed by a discussion with individuals involved in the production and in the broader subject of Italian migration.
QDELUX was represented by its President, Etelvina Correia; Anabela Carapeto, Head of QDELUX Integration; and Jolanda Goedert, Head of Legal Affairs.
Integration, Memory and Participation
The association’s participation in this event is part of QDELUX’s broader work to promote integration and strengthen communities’ access to information, institutions, networks and opportunities available in Luxembourg.
Understanding different migration experiences also provides valuable insight into the evolution of a society shaped by mobility and by the coexistence of diverse backgrounds, cultures and communities.
For QDELUX, integration is not simply about arriving in or remaining within a country. It also involves access to information, autonomy, participation, a sense of belonging and the ability to build a personal, professional and economic path.
It is from this perspective that QDELUX Integration seeks to develop a community-focused approach, identifying issues that matter to local communities while building bridges with experts, organisations, institutions and other relevant stakeholders.

Participation in external initiatives also forms part of QDELUX’s institutional development and consolidation.
Rather than simply increasing its visibility through attendance, the association seeks to identify spaces that offer opportunities to deepen knowledge, better understand different realities, establish meaningful relationships and explore potential areas of cooperation aligned with its mission.
In this context, the conference on the history of Italian migration provided an opportunity to engage with a migration experience that forms part of Luxembourg’s contemporary history, while also encouraging reflection on issues that remain relevant to the communities building their lives in the country today.
